Year of Italian Culture

An event celebrating the Year of Italian Culture in the United States featuring an exhibition of eighteenth-century prints by the Italian architect and engraver Giovanni Battista Piranesi. The evening will include a talk by Professor Jeff Balmer, UNC Charlotte School of Architecture, entitled, “Stages of the imagination: Piranesi and the drama of Rome.” The Piranesi prints are part of the UNC Charlotte art collection and are on permanent display in the J. Murrey Atkins Library.
